After the original 3 episodes of Dragon Ass appeared in Grandpa's Lap, I decided to re-tool the whole concept and make a real book out of it. I did a whole bunch of character sketches and an 11 page layout for the beginning of the book, but never got any further than that.
Here's page 4, where the ram tells the ranger to ask the humans in the village for help. The idea is that Lyric and company are in that village. Oh yeah, and in the bottom panel the ram jumps off into the distance. But because he's a blinkram, he turns invisible when he jumps. I'm not sure how this would have turned out one paper, but if it was animated it would be bad ass.
