legacy

Beginning to believe that our beliefs don’t matter
Weaving through the weeds while our dreams get shattered
Nothing left to eat but the cats getting fatter
Seek to see the forest but the trees can’t scatter

Don’t you know how slow that the toes pitter-patter
When you go out in the snow and your molars start to chatter
Spirits get low but you know what’s even sadder
Is that order’s full of boredom only chaos is a ladder

Legacy/Lethargy
————
Try to find a theme what the schemes all mean
But it screams of a scene that nobody’s ever seen
Doesn’t seem real serene when you plead with the dean
Not to deem that your deeds get you cut from the team

It’s a meme-covered ream of a hundred pound cream
Sealed neatly in the seam right outside the mainstream
With a tweaked gleam of vision that’s a little bit extreme
An obscene lethal level of abysmal self-esteem

Legacy/Lethargy
————
Feeling and dealing don’t come easily to me
Rather be in the backseat in the breeze burning trees
But all of these enemies charge exorbitant fees
And we’re clearing out the leas making it difficult for bees

So the seasons get all wheezy cuz the seas won’t freeze
Easily we can see all these people are a disease
But the problem seems to be firmly with the level C’s
Spilling everybody’s tea as they reap what they please
———-
Legacy/Lethargy
————
A legacy of lethargy lethally applied
To the people far and wide as they’re swept to the side
What a ride having your middle class dreams be denied
As you slide up and down the social pole petrified

It’s a lie all the times that they said it’s all right
When the the monsters hide slyly under mattresses at night
Can’t acquire nothing in this life without a fight
So make sure to pull the blankets overhead real tight
